The Noun

NOUN(संज्ञा) :         

 Identification- a noun is the name of person place or a things.                                                               Examples: Mountain, Teacher, Village, City, Town, School, College, Sun, Moon, Sky,  etc.

* Noun पाँच प्रकार के होते है।  

1) Common Noun, 2) Proper Noun, 3) Collective Noun, 4) Material Noun, 5) Abstract Noun.

*Proper noun(व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा) -A proper noun is the name of a definite or particular person, place or thing    

Ex - Rahul ,Raj, Meerut , India etc.  

 *Common noun(जातिवाचक संज्ञा)- A common noun is a noun, which represent the common  person , place or a thing 

Ex- Book, Country, River etc. 

*Collective noun(समूहवाचक संज्ञा)  - A collective  noun is the collection of persons or a group and things.

Ex- Army, police, Flock etc.

*Material noun(पदार्थवाचक  संज्ञा)- A material  noun is the name of matter or substance of which other things are made . 

Ex- Gold, Silver, Milk, etc. 

*Abstract noun(भाववाचक संज्ञा)-An abstract noun is the name of an action , quality, feeling, state, art, etc.

Ex- Childhood, Beauty, Love.
