Gender( लिंग ) :- संज्ञाए पुरुष( Male ) अथवा स्री( Female ) जाति की होती है। संज्ञाओं का यही रूप Gender कलहाता है। निर्जीव वस्तुओ का भी लिंग होता है। इस प्रकार Noun( संज्ञा ) के चार Gender होते है।
१ ) Masculine Gender ( पुल्लिंग )
२ ) Feminine Gender ( स्त्रीलिंग )
३ ) Common Gender ( उभयलिंग )
४ ) Neuter Gender ( नपुंसकलिंग )
1) Masculine Gender:- Masculine gender is that denotes male.
Ex- Boy, Son, Lion, Man, Tiger, Monkey, Dog etc.
Some important examples:-
1) He is a good boy.
2) I saw a monkey in the market.
3) There are many lions in the forest.
4) I saw a beautiful peacock.
2) Feminine Gender:- Feminine gender is that denotes female.
Ex- Daughter, Woman, Hen, Tigress, Girl, Duck, buffalo, etc.
Some important examples:-
1) I am going to the market with a beautiful girl.
2) Rinki and Kanchan came here.
3) A girl wrote a letter to me.
4) Lion lives in the forest.
3) Common Gender:- Common gender is that denotes male or female both.
Ex- Friend, Student, Teacher, child etc.
Some important examples:-
1) You are my good friend.
2) There are fourty student in the class.
3) I am a good teacher of English.
4) What is your child name ?
4) Neuter Gender:- Neuter gender denotes non-living things which is made of metals and non-metals, wood.
Ex- Chair, Pen, Toy, House, Laptop etc.
1) This chair is made of wood.
2) I have a ring which is made of gold.
3) Have you any beautiful and big house.
4) Give me your pen .
